The State of Israel is the only country worldwide which conscripts it's women for military service. All soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are required to undergo training in Krav Maga, it's official self-defense and hand-to-hand combat system. Because a potentially dangerous environment exists at all times in Israel, women soldiers, especially, must be equipped to handle hostile situations, such as physical attack, sexual assault, attempted kidnapping, etc. With limited time for specific training, Krav Maga has proven to be a highly effective, quickly learned and easy-to-retain self-defense system. Students in this seminar will train in strategic exercises for dealing with confrontations, psychological aspects of an attack/sexual assault, environmental awareness, and simulation exercises. This seminar is a lot of fun, as well as a terrific workout, and is a must for those who've said, "I've always wanted to learn how to defend myself and my loved ones."

Please wear comfortable long pants, short sleeved t shirt, sneakers, and no jewelry/watches. Shower/locker room facilities are available, and you can leave a gym bag on the side of the training area.

"INTRO + BEYOND" KRAV MAGA SELF-DEFENSE SEMINAR

Who:      Anyone interested in experiencing the unique training                methods of Krav Maga.

This Seminar is open to all members of the community. We will cover a wide variety of topics, using our unique methodology, which may include: basic defenses vs. common attacks (i.e. chokes, headlocks, bearhugs, etc.); fighting skills; multiple opponents; ground situations; simulations; etc.
**Note - this seminar is designed for people with or without experience in training with self-defense tactics.
A separate Intro + Beyond Krav Maga Self-Defense Seminar Registration Form must be mailed in with payment (or use PayPal option). Concurrent membership with KMSD is not required.

KIDS and TEEN KRAV MAGA SELF-DEFENSE SEMINAR
Guest Instructor: Gabi Noah, Krav Maga International Head Instructor, visiting from Israel.

When:    TBA. 1 hour "Alpha" group, 1.5 hours "Bravo" group, 2 hours                "Charlie" group.
Who:      Any boy or girl from 5 - 16 years old, interested in                experiencing the unique training methods of KMSD.

This Seminar is open to all young members of the community. Krav Maga (“contact combat “in Hebrew) is a simple system of practical self-defense designed to be quickly and easily learned. Students will learn basic safety behavior, defensive tactics, how to fight off a potential attacker, as well as other rules for keeping themselves safe. A variety of positive exercises and games will be utilized, and this seminar will be taught in a fun manner!
A separate Kids and Teen Krav Maga Self-Defense Seminar Registration Form must be mailed in with payment (or use PayPal option).

KRAV MAGA GROUNDFIGHTING SEMINAR
Guest Instructor: Gabi Noah, Krav Maga International Head Instructor, visiting from Israel.
Where:   KMSD Point Loma training location; 3545 Midway Dr., Suite C                (92110) at the "Japan Karate-Do" organization building.

Who:      KMSD students, Level 2 / Intermediate Level, and above.
Fee:        TBA prepaid, walk-ins are extra, if room (all trainees).

Students will train with efficient techniques and tactics for defending one’s self on the ground, to escape from the groundfighting situation as quickly as possible. This will be the only seminar with Gabi Noah in San Diego restricted to Level 2 / Intermediate students. He will cover a variety of topics, using his unique methodology, including but not limited to: basic defenses vs. common attacks on the ground; defending against being taken to the ground; defenses on the ground against weapons, multiple opponents; simulations; etc.
**Note - this seminar is designed for Level 2 / Intermediate level students.
A separate Krav Maga Groundfighting Seminar Registration Form should be downloaded from our Pre-Register page and mailed in or brought to the Seminar. KMSD students who do not pre-register will pay a higher fee.

IN-WATER KRAV MAGA SEMINAR

Who:      Krav Maga students with some experience, or by invitation.
Fee:       TBA; prepaid only, no "day of" registration
              checks made out to "Krav Maga San Diego, Inc."

This Seminar is open to registered, experienced Krav Maga San Diego students (or by invitation). Students will participate in tactical and strategic scenarios for dealing with conflicts in and around water. These may include: defenses vs. common attacks; basic fighting skills; defending yourself against attempted drowning; etc.
A separate In-Water Krav Maga Seminar Registration Form must be filled out, available from KMSD Instructors (open to participants with Krav Maga experience, or by special invitation).

MULTIPLE ATTACKER SEMINAR
Where:   Lawrence Family JCC; "Outdoor/Park Class" location on                the Calendar Page
When:    TBA 2010
Who:      Krav Maga students with some experience, or by invitation;                students must bring full protective fighting gear. Fee:        TBA

This Seminar is open to registered, experienced Krav Maga San Diego students (or by invitation). Students will train in tactical and strategic drills for dealing with multiple opponents, avoiding the fight, tactical plans for defending yourself when attacked, and contact training with full protective gear. All activities will be strictly supervised and proper protective equipment is mandatory. Please ask for a "Fighting Protective Gear" handout in class.
A separate Multiple Attacker Seminar Registration Form must be filled out (available in class); concurrent membership with KMSD is required (Level 2 Students and above only; or by special invitation).

VEHICLE SEMINAR
Where:   Lawrence Family JCC; for location (see Directions page)

Who:      Registered KMSD students; or by invitation.
Fee:       TBA; checks made out to "Krav Maga San Diego, Inc."
               Discount for prior KMSD Vehicle Seminar participants,
               and Discount for those offering vehicle for training.

Students will participate in tactical and strategic scenarios in a parking lot, dealing with conflicts in and around vehicles. These may include: defenses vs. attempted armed car-jacking; defenses vs. an attacking passenger, while driving; defenses vs. kidnapper who is in the rear seat; kidnapping prevention; tactics and strategies while defending yourself in and around vehicles, including when you have a passenger who may not be able to flee on their own (i.e. small child/elderly).
A separate Vehicle Seminar Registration Form must be filled out and concurrent membership in with KMSD is required (or by special invitation).

KMSD GUN DEFENSE SEMINAR

Who:      Registered KMSD students (must have attended at least one                full session of Level 1/Beginning training); Law                Enforcement / Military personnel; or by special                invitation.

Students will participate in tactical and strategic scenarios for dealing with gun threats; psychological aspects of the attacker/defender; and scenario training drills. Training weapons (non-functional) will be utilized. All activities will be strictly supervised.

FIGHTING SEMINAR

This Seminar is open to registered, experienced Krav Maga San Diego students (or by invitation). He will cover a wide variety of defensive tactics for protecting yourself along with partner, using his unique methodology, including but not limited to: basic defenses vs. common threats/attacks; weapons situations; hostage scenarios, etc. **Note - this seminar is designed for Krav Maga students with experience, Level 2 or above, or advanced martial artists who obtain permission from the Instructors.
A separate Third Party Protection Krav Maga Seminar Registration Form must be filled out; concurrent membership with KMSD is required.

ADVANCED GUN DEFENSE SEMINAR

Who:      Registered, experienced KMSD students who have attended                a prior KMSD Gun Seminar; Law Enforcement / Military                personnel who are armed in their duties; KMSD SpecOpsDiv                students or by special invitation.

Students will participate in tactical and strategic scenarios for dealing with handgun and long gun threats; hostage scenarios; psychological aspects of the attacker/defender, and scenario training drills. Training weapons (non-functional) will be utilized. All exercises/drills will be strictly supervised and proper safety procedures will be utilized. Training weapons brought in must be inspected and approved prior to use in training.
