During 6 week sessions, students train in the dance room at the JCC, unless otherwise directed.

All students must Initial the Sign In List upon arrival at the training location.

1.  Lawrence Family JCC – 4126 Executive Dr., La Jolla 92037 (UTC / Golden Triangle). KMSD’s Headquarters location for over 3 decades. Parking is free. KMSD students may use the JCC parking lots – back lot for JCC members only; or if necessary, the parking structure across the street (Security may not be allowed to validate your ticket if gates are not already locked in the up position). The Security personnel may occasionally direct you to use the parking structure if there are JCC events. Note that you are under closed circuit television (CCTV) and subject to security procedures at all times while on the property. If you don’t have your JCC Guest Access card, and your name is not on the list with Security, you will NOT be allowed to enter the JCC. Students who forget their card will be asked to go to Guest Services to get a replacement for a fee.

Note: for specifically designated Outdoor Training events, Eastgate Park is adjacent to the JCC, on the southeast corner of Regents Rd., and Eastgate Mall, which is beyond right field of the ballpark (northwest corner of JCC property). Park as usual and walk around the ballfield, or on Eastgate Mall.

2. Balboa Park – on the southwest corner of Park Boulevard and Presidents Way, San Diego 92101, known as the “Balboa Park Boulevard and Presidents Way Lawn”. These classes will focus on training students to use KMSD techniques in realistic situations and environments, including on the ground (grass). Parking is free in the lot directly adjacent to the training area.
Dress: long sleeved KMSD shirts are recommended but not mandatory. Some students wear gloves (you will be hitting the ground). No hats or sunglasses.

3. Beach Training – is held on the sand at the north end of “La Jolla Shores Park” public beach by the first oceanfront house
(GoogleMap La Jolla Shores“). Parking is free in that lot and on El Paseo Grande, but the lot closes at 10 PM (check the signs there for updated hours).
Dress: Wear whatever you want (i.e. your KMSD t shirt; bathing suit / shorts; barefoot / sandals; etc.). Handwraps are generally not worn (unless otherwise announced). No hats or sunglasses.
